IVF JOURNEY 2022 THE PHONE CALL

I made THE phone call.

First off their phone system was very complicated.

So I am making the call and very nervouse.

What do I say? What will they ask? How do I answer? So the line is ringing and after 3 rings it kicks into an automated selection. I have no idea what to select but I do know that I want to speak to a himan being. So I select consultations. Another recording for automated selections comes on. Still trying to select the best one to speak to a human being. In the end for new patients/clients a text message will be sent to their cell phone and someone would contact me from the office.

Ok. So I get the txt message, open it up and it’s asking me to download an secure app. To directly message the office. So I go ahead and download app and I set up an account. Right away someone messaged me. They had introduced themselves and explained that anyone in the office will answer messages on the platform. They gave a detailed message of why they use it and it’s function. Then she ask for some basic details about me and my partner separately, which doctor I’m interested in, and the purpose of contacting them. So I respond back to the person with all requested information. They replied back saying someone will contact me back.

Thinking to my self “ok” I finally got in touch with a person. Now when will someone contact me. I’m waiting and waiting for the rest of the day for someone to get back to me. NO ONE did.

Someone there had contacted me THE NEXT day.

The enplyee that had contacted me was the doctors nurse. And explained the doctor I am referring to see we will need to do a consult and an advocate will be needed which would be her.

So we had set up an appointment for a tele health visit.

NOTE: Not knowing what to expect I had called my ONGYN for a referral. And sent it in thru their platform. Prior contacting this Fertility Center I was recommended to a different center but was in denial about our fertility. When my OBGYN nurse got news of my referral she was very excited for us.
