What makes a good housewife?

Question

What are some of the expectations when it comes to a housewife? Or a stay at home wife with no children?

Happy, clean house; happy, clean kids; being financially wise and using a solid budget; healthy, home cooked meals; confidence and self reliance; respect and good communication (aka talking like adult partners, not whining and tearing each other down); love, kindness, and passion inside and outside the bedroom; and bonus points for having a career, hobbies, and/or charities to be passionate about!

I make sure that I do my my job as a wife. I make sure that the house is cleaned, I do laundry, I make sure that my husband has food on the table as soon as he gets home from work. I'm not his servant but he takes good care of me and I have no problem doing the old school woman's work :)

For me as a stay at home wife with no kids I keep the house clean and make sure dinner is ready for my husband when he gets home :) I also take care of our two dogs and make sure I'm there for my husband in anyway possible :)

Um...each relationship is different. I make sure the house is clean and usually dinner is made when he gets home. Aside from that, I do whatever I want. 
Talk to your SO. Set up clear expectations for both of you so that you know exactly what you both are expected to do.

If your s/o is a dirty person I suggest talking with him and ask him to be a little neater.. Example: instead of taking off his dirty clothes and tossing them where ever place them in the hamper, dirty dish rinse off and put in the sink. I also clean while my husband is gone at work usually just before he gets home.. I give myself enough time to get the vacuuming done dishes done and put away.. That's all I do everyday when we eat I just rinse off the dishes and put them in the sink to do the next day so my love and I can spend some time together :) on the weekends I do the deep clean, laundry, vacuum, wash floors/walls, scrub bathrooms and kitchen etc and my husband will actually help out too unless he has studying to do

Clean house, clean children( as in washed and dressed and probably in bed when hubby comes back from work) dinner on the table when he comes home, errrrrrrrrrrr clean you? Lol as in washed wearing nice clothes and make up done ( men like that) Erm i can't think of anyone else

I usually do most of the cooking, try to be as thoughtful as I know how. Always include him in dissicion making. My bf isn't the cleanest person and I'm a neat freak so I can't help but clean up after us both everyday. A man likes a woman who can cook, clean, and sow. And I do all three. Haha. Quickest way to his Heart is through his stomach for sure is the truth with a lot of guys.

Anything to make husband and children happy.. if they all like it clean and like home cooked meals then do that.. home cooking can make a mess after you've cleaned so assign a few chores for kiddos its good for them to help
