Will they try to stop labor at 36+4 ?

Having pretty strong contractions & about to go into the hospital. Will they try to stop labor this far along?

Nope. If the contractions aren't doing anything yet, they may give you the Cortison injection to ripen the lungs more and try to keep baby in another 24 hours for the second shot. But if you're already in established labour, they'll just let baby come.

Depends but generally no. My bonus mom has 2 kiddos at 34 weeks and the only reason her third stayed in until 36 wks is because he was breech. They stopped trying to stop labor at 36 weeks and she ended up having an emergency C-section. With my sister, her second baby, they tried to stop labor for 2 weeks. Finally said okay we're done trying to stop it because she's bigger and healthy. If she comes, she comes. And she did. At 34 weeks. She spent 1 hr in the NICU and was released back to them.

Most likely no since you’re so close to 37 weeks but it depends on your doctor and hospital. I went in with my daughter at 36+5 and gave birth the next day, but my water broke so that’s a slightly different scenario.
