Do you mind sharing why you are getting/got induced?

Been seeing alot of women post referring to having in induction or being scheduled for one. Just curious as to why.

I’m diagnosed with GD and baby is measuring really big, so getting induced at 39 weeks to avoid baby getting stuck/mama tearing.

I got induced yesterday bc at my appointment yesterday I let my doctor know I was having decreased fetal movements. She checked on the ultrasound and the baby had lowish amniotic fluid & she told me I could either get induced, or wait to deliver natural (I was due next week on the 21), but I would need to be monitored. I just decided to get induced.

Just delivered baby girl this afternoon at 37+5 due to pre hypertension that started 3 weeks ago. Started pitocin at 9 am and ruptured my bag at 10 am and was born at 12:35pm. Super smooth fast delivery, one push and zero tears. Baby and mama are thriving and healthy.

My husband was states away for work, the only way to guarantee him there was to be induced. I’m glad he was there but if I could go back I’d change my mind.

I had emergency c section for my twins at 36.2 wks, I had start of preclampsia and my son was breech

I was diagnosed preeclampsia at the very end, and since it had developed so quickly (literally no signs the week before) I was induced at exactly 37 weeks.

With my first 4 babies I was induced for high blood pressure even though I did not have preeclampsia. Baby 5 I went to 41w2d with no induction but needed a c-section because baby was breech. Baby 6 my blood pressure got high the last week due to severe pain issues, but I avoided an induction and had a water VBAC at the birthing center with my midwife at 40w2d on 9/2/22. I wanted to avoid another induction at all costs and also wanted to avoid having to go to the hospital due to major issues I had with the hospital during baby 5 because of COVID.
