How to truly separate with your partner?

I don't feel like our relationship is going anywhere, we have a daughter and another baby on the way which we do not regret at all but I just don't feel happy in our relationship. We've tried everything we can and it's just not working we are always fighting and are always so distant from each other. It just feels like we're roommates and friends with benefits at this point. I hate that our daughter sees us being so distant and never gets to see the love we used to have. I want her ti live in a happy home. We cannot afford to live on our as rent in our area has gone up so so much. A 1bedroom is at least 1200 and we just don't make enough on our to pay that plus our bills. Would it be weird to not be together and just co parent but still live together? I just cannot take this anxiety of always walking on eggshells around him anymore. I'm tired of fighting and begging for something he won't bother doing the bare minimum for. I hate saying I'm in a relationship yet it hasn't felt like one in 3 years! I'm going crazy !!
