What underwear do you recommend for giving birth and postpartum ?

I’m almost 30 weeks pregnant and I been wearing thongs from my prior pregnant days as they are the most comfortable to me. 
However, I’m thinking about all the blood and stuff that happens after you give birth. So, should I invest in different underwear? Or are there just adult diapers the hospital has for women who gave birth? Should I go out and buy some? I’m just feeling a little lost with the things people don’t talk about lol

I skipped the underwear and just used these, they were really comfortable and best of all disposable

I like the ones they give in the hospital but I very much am going to get the adult diaper panties my mom use for her period😂 they are comfortable

I only used the adult diapers for maybe 3 days pp. then I switched to pads. I just got a couple of packs of cheap “high cut briefs” style underwear in a size up than I normally wear to accommodate the pads/liners. In a month or so you’ll be back to wearing your thongs.

I used the hospital disposable ones when I first came out but then just used normal high full briefs as they were nice and comfortable

I would recommend a high waisted brief for after birth to fit your postpartum pads.

The hospital gives you mesh underwear for pads.
Once home, I recommend adult diapers.

I mean you don’t need underwear for giving birth. But you need to have underwear that can hold a pad. You can do an adult diaper, but after some days, your bleeding won’t be as significant and a pad is sufficient.
