I live with my bf, but am wanting to move out due to him and I not working out. I applied for an apartment through the local housing authority but I really want to get section 8 because I heard I can get a house/trailer.

I filled out my applications and turned them in on Thursday last week. What are my next steps that I need to take?

Will me getting an apartment affect the chances of me getting section 8? I lived in the apartments prior to moving in with him. I was told the waiting list for section 8 in my area isn’t too long so idk what that means.
