Is this my sign to leave? Run???

This guy I’m talking to was talking about his mom. He said that when him and his brothers get enough money saved up, they are going to pitch in together and buy their mom a house.

I was like, “why? Isn’t that what her husband is for? I’d just give her a furnished basement or something if that were the case”

He said, “yeah, my mom wouldn’t like that. She wouldn’t want to feel below and beneath anyone…. She wants to feel like she’s in control”

Whatever that means?

Should I run? Red flag??

If our relationship turns serious, will his mom be problematic? I already heard he drives her everywhere, the kids pay her bills and furnished and bought this double wide she is staying at and she works and don’t want to see the grandkids she have. 🤔

Maybe I will run.. thoughts?
