TDAP Vaccine while pregnant?

Just curious on everyone’s thoughts. I am 31 weeks and got recommended to get it, I’ve been doing some research and have seen answers to both yes and no on getting it but would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this Tdap vaccine :) comment your thoughts if you got it or not and how you feel about it :)! Need the mama advice!!

Highly recommended it!! Whooping cough is deadly to newborns as well as babies in general and the vaccine will help protect them from getting it.

If you’re planning on getting your child vaccinated, then there’s no reason not to get it while you’re pregnant. What you’re essentially doing is saving your baby one jab; it’s given in two doses to baby, unless you get it when you’re pregnant, then it passes to them in utero and they can skip the first dose.

Yes I got it when I was pregnant and my son got the vaccine when he was born. I prefer to help protect my child to something deadly.

They checked my titers and I didn’t need to get it. My husband got it though.

Yep. I literally got mine last week. I did the same when I was pregnant with my twins. I asked if family needs to get it again, but they said you're covered for 5-10 years so they should be fine. I made everyone get theirs after my girls were born as they were preemies and I wasn't taking any precautions.

I got it with my kids. So did my husband, MIL, FIL, BIL, and SIL. My bestfriend took it upon herself to have her and her husband vaccinated. My arm was really sore both times, as was everyone else's, but none of us wanted to take the chance. Both of my babies have been born during Covid lockdowns and one of them during cold and flu season. We wanted to protect my babies with the TDAP. The whole family viewed the TDAP as the first line of defence in keeping the grandbabies safe.

Absolutely get it while pregnant. I got mine already. No issues besides a sore arm. Getting the vaccine during pregnsncy will give babe some antibodies to help protect them. Whooping cough can be deadly and it's sounds terrifying. Google what it sounds like. More often than not babies don't even cough they just stop breathing and die.
