What is your opinion of the name?

I love the name Kane for a boy but my husband doesn't really care for it because of biblical references and thinks that's what people will think of.  I would spell it different and I just like the name!

I really like it spelled Kane. Another option if  it makes your husband feel better is to name him Canaan and call him Cane for short. Canaan was the promised land and more of a positive biblical reference instead of a negative one.

I love it! I'm not religious and don't believe in the bible, but named my daughter Eden!

I went to school with a boy with that name but spelled Kaine, no one ever asked about it being similar to biblical names.

I named my son Caleb because I liked the way it sounds and was not inspired by biblical references. But people always ask! If you like the name go for it, but I'm sure you'll come across people that will also ask!

That's one of the names on our boy list! I love it! I have a friend that has a boy and she spelled it Kain. My SO likes it just the way it is though, Kane

To me the way it is currently spelled "Kane" has no biblical reference and I like the name.
