8 week old gerd help

Does anybody have any tips for relief for baby ? Her doctor suspects gerd, she gave us a few tips to try and we’re supposed to come back in two weeks to see if things improved. But I’m a little put off by the things she recommended. She told us to give her rice cereal with her feeds, which I’ve heard you shouldnt do, and she told us to prop her bed up at night, which isnt safe sleep. We’ve started doing the rice cereal because baby is so so fussy and miserable, and we’re propping her up after eating, but we will NOT be propping up her bed at night. Does anyone have any other suggestions that worked for your baby ?
