Do you think all schools should be required to have a class about bullying?

Just like how schools have D.A.R.E classes , why not have a class about why bullying is bad and require all students to attend.  Breaks my heart that I keep reading about all these poor kids getting bullied.

Honestly with all the respect I believe it starts at home! Ex: If me as an adult always talk about others and judge how poorly others are dressed, what’s expected of my kid? Mostly do the same. Us as parents should do better as adults since we have the little ones watching and learning from us. We should always pay attention to our children and since little teach them that we are all equally no matter the race, gender,no matter their looks, or how others are dressed because not every parent can afford expensive shoes and clothing for their children and that nobody should ever make fun or make others feel less because of it. Tell them to speak up if others are making fun of them and not allow it as well! It starts at home and unfortunately many parents don’t understand and expect their children to learn everything at school! School can have that class but if their parents allow their behavior or if parents themselves are that way?🤷🏻‍♀️ Idk that’s just my point of view.

Ideally yes hecuase it's money spent on an agenda that makes sense and that we can agree upon. 
Do I think it will actually help? A little maybe....but it really starts and ends at home.

DARE certainly hasn’t fixed the country’s drug problem, and I doubt a bullying class would fix bullying.

I’m pretty sure dare did absolutely nothing but waste a shit ton of money and show kids what drugs look like and let a lot of kids have a nap.

No. It starts at home. If more people would actually parent their children, spend time with them, and stop allowing screens then there wouldn't be such an issue. A school is a place meant to learn subjects not morals and socially acceptable behavior that's the parents' job to teach. Unfortunately many parents today fail miserably at it.

Schools aren’t responsible for teaching everything. Parents are responsible for teaching their kids to be decent human beings. Basic respect and kindness for others is something that should be taught before a child even starts school. Schools should maybe educate on what to do if a kid witnesses someone being bullied/bullying another so they know the appropriate protocols for that specific school, but it’s not the schools responsibility to prevent bullying. If anything they should just be the middle man.

That would not solve the problem. Just like dare classes didn’t solve drug problems.
