Head banging (self injury behaviors)

Hello everyone. My son was diagnosed with level 3 autism with a speech and language disorder so he’s nonverbal right now. What advice can y’all give me when little one starts head banging or hitting themselves. He is 3 years old. He sees Ot and speech. And we just started seeing a behavior specialist. Any recommendations.
