Spotting at 19 weeks

I started spotting a little over a week ago and I’ve been checked twice since and have been told everything looks okay. However no one did a vaginal ultrasound for cervix length checked and I’m concerned it could be that.. did anyone have spotting around this time and your pregnant was normal? Did you have a short cervix or something else? Also, no sexual intercourse in several weeks
