What should i think?

We found out we are having a girl, which is what I have been praying for … and my boyfriends mom keeps saying things like “just wait til she’s 12 and she starts saying “I WANT TO GO LIVE WITH MY DAD” “
Makes me feel like there’s conversations going on when I’m not there about us not being together .. or am I being sensitive?

Secondly, given what you have posted about your situation and what he’s done, it sounds like he’s definitely been talking with his mom about the situation. She better be giving him sage financial advice also if she’s going to put her two cents in. Sounds like the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
You definitely aren’t being overly sensitive here. You’re reading the signals loud and clear. However, don’t listen to her. She clearly didn’t make good decisions herself.

It sounds less like there are conversations behind your back and more like she just hopes you two don’t stay together. Have you talked to your partner about this? That’s a really shitty thing to say to someone. I thought the post was going to say that she keeps saying « wait until she’s a teen and it’s so much harder » but that was way more uncalled for!
