I dont necessarily agree with the other responders because I do think most marriages go through rough patches. Ive had to step back and ask myself this as well,,Ive chosen to stay and try to work it out and Im glad I did because with effort we were able to move past it. I think trust and shared values are a must, I dont tolerate mind games or being told Im high maintenance because I expect respect and loyalty (theres a lot that goes into loyalty besides just sexual cheating). I also think if the other person isnt willing to try to work things out and doesnt care, thats a huge problem eg Ive seen friends and family with husbands who just refuse to help with the home or kids and will sit his butt on the screens while shes drowning and care zero despite her talking to him repeatedly, he refuses counseling etc. That to me is not a partnership. I also think wanting very different things in life eg one partner wants marriage and kids, the other wants to be childless and travel, thats not very compatible. But for example if you find the spark has faded, or youre fighting and bickering more often, things like that can often be resolved and sometimes I think people are all too quick to throw in the towel. I see on this app all the time 'just divorce him' and sometimes I agree, but sometimes Im like really youd throw away a whole marriage over this petty conflict?

When it dosent feel right anymore. When it's a struggle every single time you are together. When you stop looking forward to seeing them everyday. When you find yourself never thinking if them during they day and then when they do pop into your head, you feel upset. When you can't picture them in your lives long term anymore. When you feel like you may be better off with someone else or alone. When you find yourself seriously entertaining other people's advances. When you know, you know.

When you realize you have no feelings.  But if you do have feelings still than work it out with your partner.
As long as they haven’t cheated on you or been abusive. If they have all the good qualities in a partner, you can always work it out
