Just diagnosed with polyhydramnios at 23w 1d. AFI is 26. Baby is measuring 24w. Anyone have any experience with this?

Yes, I was diagnosed with this during my second pregnancy. My baby measured consistently 4 weeks ahead because of it. He swallowed amniotic fluid on the way out and needed to be on a cpap for a couple days, but other than that he was healthy. Just really big. 9lbs 4.2oz at 38w.

I was diagnosed at 25 weeks with my 2nd, they were concerned with his weight from ultrasound, I was monitored carefully from 30 weeks on and had to be induced at 39 weeks. They were estimating him to be a 12 pound baby, based on the fact that I was carrying almost 50 lbs of fluid. My induction was amazing (although I felt reallllllly bad for my OB when she broke my water) and he was a beautiful, perfect, 8 pound even little boy

I had poly unfortunately my son was born with a duodenal atresia where his stomach wasn’t connected to his intestines. However a friend was pregnant at the same time and there was no explanation for her poly her baby was absolutely fine! Try not to stress too much it may just be you have high fluid doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong.
