Why doesn't it click?

I know, I know! He's lame, boring, whines, needy, not my ideal future husband....so why won't it click in my mind?! I can tell myself this all day. But why can't my mind and emotions process it? He's my BFF.

I mean, people aren’t perfect. Does my husband whine, yep. Does he nag, yep. Does he slack off some times, yep. But he’s a wonderful person and picks me up when I’m down, helps me when I need it, makes me feel loved and cared for. He’s my everything so I can over look the flaws. He’s my best friend. 
I guess you need to ask yourself if your expectations are too high or are you accepting lower than your worth. There’s a difference.

It sounds like you’re settling. Not for what you truly want but for what you’re comfortable with. What you’ve known for so long. Hard to break a habit when you’re so used to it. 
If this person isn’t what you truly want, let them go. Take time for yourself to recoup, have fun, and just enjoy single life for a bit. Don’t string someone along with uncertainties.
