What do I pay a teenage babysitter??

The average daycare in my area is $2.50 - $3/ hour per kid. I work from home so I’m there for any big issues, but just wanted someone to distract my 3 year old and 4 month old for a few hours while I’m working. I have 2 sisters coming over for a couple hours after school - do I pay them each for both kids? Or pay them each half?

Pay them each $20 every time they go to watch your kids.

They're both doing the work to watch the kids, why should they get half? This is a real job to them, so treat it like one. Or if you don't want to pay the girls fairly then just enroll them in the daycare.

I would speak with the mother of the girls and figure out a good amount that works for both of you. Maybe the mother would like the girls to get a toy or gift. something instead of money or if they want money maybe she can say what they are planning to use it for to give you an idea of a goal amount

They aren't watching them independently I do 5$ an hour for teens not old enough for me to run out and 10$ an hour if they're mature and do all the feeding and diaper changing proactively and compliantly. If they share the job they share the money your in the house the whole time is not full babysitting
