Brushing your teeth

Okay ladies, when I was pregnant with my 2 1/2 year old I wasn’t able to brush my teeth on my upper left side. I’d gage. Well with this pregnancy so far it’s been my right upper jaw I am unable to brush my teeth. I know I need to because oral hygiene is important. I just am tired of dry heaving or puking. Has this happened to anyone else and what are some tips and tricks 😂

Yes this happened to me!!! My dentist told me to squeeze my skin in between my thumb and first finger as hard as I could as a distraction. She also said thrust your tongue forward like you’re saying “ahhhhh” while you brush! I promise both of those things helped! I couldn’t brush either because I gagged so bad!

I would always puke while brushing my teeth with my daughter. Do the best you can to get all areas even if you're not brushing for the full recommended two minutes. Follow up with mouthwash. Floss a couple times a day if you can

Make sure you actually do brush your teeth. Maybe puke before brushing? Don’t let the acid sit on your teeth and erode them.

The mint is too strong for me in pregnancy. Can you do mouthwash? I also take oral probiotic suckers before bed

I don't know why but for some reason adult and mint toothpaste was making me dry heave the most, I switched to my toddlers toothpaste and the dry heaving wasn't as bad.
