How many failed the 1 he glucose test but passed 3 hr?

Ugh, I just found out I barely failed my 1 hr glucose test with a result of 139. I was fine in my last pregnancy, with twins, no less! But I started this pregnancy about 20 lbs heavier than my last. My husband thinks it’s because I took my test the morning after Halloween and I was BINGING candy the night before, LOL. So anyway just curious how many people failed one and passed the other. Any tips for the 3 hr?

About 80% of people who fail the 1hr test will go on to pass the 3hr test.

My ob said the 1 hr tests are 50/50 that’s why she recommended to just skip the 1 hour since the 3 hour is a lot more accurate or you can just test yourself at home & send in the results for the next 3 days to your dr if you don’t feel like sitting for 3 hours in a lab.

I don’t even bother taking the 1 hr anymore. I just go right to the 3 hr. I squeak by each time and know there’s no chance I’ll ever pass that first one, so why even try.

I voted wrong. I failed 1 hour, past the 3 but barely. I was on the verge of having it.
It’s soooo common to fail just the first. They set the fail requirement so low bc they wanna catch any possible sign you may have it just in case. It definitely does not mean you have it and you still have a good chance of passing the 3 hour!

I’m curious also. I’m 25w3d and I just bombed my 1 hr glucose test I had this morning. It was 161!  I’m a FTM, not overweight, have barely gained weight, but I have PCOS and I’m 35. I’ve been ugly crying most of the afternoon now. Ugh! 😭
