My fourth(and hopefully final) pregnancy. This baby was a total surprise for us. In fact, I even took the morning after pill because we had an oopsie🤭. This was by far the most physically painful pregnancy of all. I was 39w4d when I started having irregular contractions. They ranged from 3-10 min apart for a couple hours. I was at 4cm before they started, so I decided to go to L&D to get checked out. After an hour there, they checked me again and I was still at 4cm and still 70% effaced. They sent me home, went to bed, and 4 hrs later, I woke up with pretty strong contractions. My doc told me to go to the hospital when contractions were 7 min apart for an hour. They never made it that far. They were 4-5 min so by the time I woke my hubby up, drove there, got checked in, they were about 2 min apart. Nurses reassured me the anesthesiologist was on his way with my epidural. My water popped very dramatically on the table, and they called off the doc with the epidural and called in the doc to catch the baby. This was my second natural delivery, and after 2 pushes, I gave birth to a 9lb 2oz healthy baby boy.😍
