4 and half years gap too much?

18weeks with second, panicking a bit first is a girl second also a girl but i feel like the age gap is too much what if they dont bond well any input is greatly appreciated

My sister and I are 4 years apart and very close. We live on opposite ends of the country but still talk nearly every day. Was never an issue. 
However my husband and his brother are 8 years apart and they don’t have much of a relationship. I think 5 and below years apart are the ideal gaps.

I don’t think so. My husband and I actually would like to plan to have a second child when our son is about 4 years old. (Right now he is a little over 2 and a half.)

It really depends on their personalities. My ex sister and I are 4 years apart and we are zero contact. When I have to suffer through holidays with her then I usually don't speak to her or look at her. My MIL and her brother are 4 years apart and SUPER close. My oldest cousins are 6 and 7 years older than their brother, my other older cousin, and they are all SUPER close. It just depends on their personality on if the age difference will be an issue or not.

Some siblings are close, some aren’t. My oldest and 2nd are 6 years and not close but my oldest is close to the 3rd, who is 8 years older. Try not to over think this.

I feel like having that age gap with BOTH being girls it’ll go very well! For my brother and I we also have that gap and we were not close at all. But watching my 1 year old daughter play with older girls 3-4 years old it’s quite amazing! At that age they are very caring, wanting to help, wanting to nurture.

Gaps are just numbers. I have a sister 2.5 years younger than me, we get along okay but we have never been anything close to best friends, most of our childhood we just tolerated each other. I get along super well with my sisters who are 11 and 13 years younger than me, we chat all the time. My other sister is 5 years younger than me and we were very close as kids but as adults we’re not that close.
