Zofran during first trimester? Is it safe?

When were you prescribed zofran?

The benefits usually outweigh the risk. They say it’s safe now. If you’re that sick, it’s better to be on something. I tried it last pregnancy and it didn’t work for me. Nothing fully works for me really

I took Zofran my first pregnancy and am taking it during my second pregnancy.  My first turned out perfect.  The benefits outweigh the risk.  Without it if you vomit too much you run the risk of dehydrating and having to be hospitalized.

They used to say it wasn’t safe to take before 10 weeks gestation, that has since been proven false. It is safe.

I was given zofran with my first, I only took it for a week because it didn’t help me but with this pregnancy they said they wouldn’t give it in the first trimester because of new studies.

It’s safe. I took 8mg around the clock with my first & 4mg around the clock with my second.
