Maternity Clothes or just upsize for now? Help! New to this!

Question

So for Christmas my SO mom got me a Giftcard to Kohls and I'm going shopping today because work wise my pants are way too tight. And the hair tie trick is uncomfortable. This isn't my first pregnancy(miscarriage) so I never got far enough to even invest in maternity clothes so I don't know when is a good time to buy them. I'm a little over 8weeks and can tell with most of my pants even leggings(I was a 0/3, XS/S) but I noticed that even my size 3 pants that seem bigger due to brand are starting to be a little snug and uncomfortable. So I'm wondering do I just upsize my work pants and such or just pick out at least one pair of maternity pants? Also, I need new bras so should I just go ahead and get a nursing bra or just some cotton loose fit sports bras?

I'm still early so I'm a little skeptical about buying maternity clothes so early. This was me at 8weeks exactly.

I would go maternity for pants. Shirts are easy to stretch with your belly, but pants won't stretch with you. Maternity pants are amazing. It may seem odd having the stretchy material come up so high, but I promise, once that belly starts growing, you'll be amazed at how much better it feels!

I got my maternity jeans buy one get one half off . They are the most comfortable pants in the world . I was also given some maternity work pants from a friend.

Go with maternity wear, it will last you longer than just getting a larger size.

I bought a belly band at 5 weeks and it lasted until 8-9 weeks. I switched to leggings and tunic shirts or dresses. I finally found maternity pants that fit at 13 weeks and I'm so much happier. Wish I had them sooner. If you buy maternity pants now, you have 8 months to wear them.

Personally I'd switch to wireless or sports bras. I tried to go up a size in my normal wired bras and outgrew them within 2 weeks.

I say get some maternity pants, regular pants are only going to continue to get uncomfortable. Maternity leggings are amazing. I have 2 pair from Motherhood Maternity and they're pretty much all I wear. Think they were $20 and so worth it. For shirts, I've been able to wear most of my prepregnancy ones but I like looser/flowy tops already so I had room to grow in them (big sweaters are my jam right now). So I'd wait on buying maternity shirts bc they are expensive and you can usually size up in regular shirts if needed.

I am 27w with a good belly and yet to buy maternity. I have just up sized thus far, bought clothes with stretch, etc. Maternity stuff is so expensive I find it to be a waste.

I just wore sports bra mostly during my first pregnancy. Saved some money till my boobs stopped growing. I also got the belly band (target) and wore a size up on pants. With my first pregnancy I didn't truly show till 25 weeks abs before that I look like I ate thanksgiving dinner... But its completely up to you
