Did you have to do the 24hr urine collection?

Question

So i went to L&D for high BP. It went up to 156/94. It eventually went back down to normal in the triage room. I also had very swollen hands. They took some blood and the results came back not too great so they asked me to do a 24hr urine test. 
Im guessing they are testing me for preeclampsia. 
Anybody has experience with that?
Im only 32.5weeks. What is the usual treatment for preeclampsia since im not anywhere near full term…

Hey! Hope you're feeling okay. It's absolutely scary to hear pre-eclampsia. I was about 32-33 weeks when i had ro have a 24 hour collection as well. The crappy oart is that it has to stay in the fridge 😫 but this is just a precautionary measure to make sure you and baby stay good and healthy. I was told to take baby asprin (80 mg) to help keep blood pressure down.
But I'm not a doctor so don't quote me on that. That was my experience. I did not end up having pre-eclampsia and went on to have a normal and healthy delivery.
