I found out my husband married his wife in 1999. He told everyone he had gotten a divorce. I just found out that around 2003 he went to Canada and married Scott. We were married in 2019. I went to legal aid and was told the best way to handle this is to go ahead with a divorce. We technically aren't married? Can it not be annulled? I have so many questions. We didn't have any kids together. He was physically and emotionally abusive. He's a con artist that scammed me and my family out of a lot of money. He's in prison right now, getting out mid January. He doesn't know the divorce is coming. I don't want him to retaliate. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to life's little issues. It's really rough right now. He'd cut me off from friends and family so much... I'm in a new town starting over from scratch with no support.
