When is it safe?

Question

My boyfriend and his ex just had their baby a week ago today..
Him and I live together (I’m expecting in late march/ early April) 
When is it safe for the newborn to come over to our house for a night? 
(Crazy situation I know)

Whenever he and the baby’s mother decides. He’s the father, it’s not unsafe if you are both keeping healthy 
However if I were that mother, I’d have a very hard time being away from such a young baby overnight especially if breastfeeding, babies really only know their mothers - their smell, heartbeat so he will need to discuss that with her

If I were the ex, I wouldn’t be letting the baby stay overnight unless I was court ordered to. My first born is almost 3 and I’ve never met him sleep anywhere else but home lol. As a newborn, breastfeeding would be the biggest factor, but then once that baby isn’t a newborn anymore you’ll be having a newborn of your own, just seems like a lot for everyone to handle from the other mother’s point of view.

Not until the child is older and eating more then just milk. Especially if she is breast feeding. He can visit his child but if I was the mom I wouldn't let my baby stay anywhere over night without me until baby was older

For the night?? Probably not till at least 6 months when they are eating more than just milk. 
I would starlt by suggesting an hour or two here and there, giving that mom a break and letting her go shopping or have “me time”. 
Don’t let that man put that baby on the back burner for  your baby though too

I’d never allow my newborn out of my sight 🤷🏼‍♀️ now once my kid was a year old they can do over nights
