TTC/fertility issues?

I'm having pre period symptoms. Cramping, over emotional. But I was due for my period yesterday. So I'm one day late. I took at at home test that said not pregnant.  My boobs are swollen and that's one symptom I've never had before a period. Should I just wait a few days and then see a doc? 
Also, after how many unlucky months should nt husband go to check his fertility? His ejaculation is usually very small amounts every time we do anything. I don't know if that's normal.

It depends how old are you? Also wait until your period is missed then test :)

A preconception check up is an often overlooked step in the TTC process. Head in to see your OB now and tell them that you're TTC.

Ask to have them check you for any hormonal imbalances and just an overall check up. Also ask your blood related female relatives if they know of anyone in the family who has had a reproductive disorder, like PCOS.

After this you can create a fertility action plan to help you conceive as quickly as possible, as well as creating a rough timeline for when/if you'll need to go back in for more extensive tests and/or fertility medication.

Keep in mind that even optimally healthy couples can take upwards of a year to conceive!

As for your partner, have them checked out as well, there's no harm in getting his testosterone levels checked and a sperm count done.
