My (23F) boyfriend (26M) have been dating for just under 4 years. Our sex life has been up and down. It was dynamite at the beginning (new relationship and all), and then died almost completely for 1 1/2 years while I went through some medical issues. He was so patient and understand through the whole thing. Now the sex drive is back to normal (plus some) for about 3.5 months. Since then, he’s become uninterested. The sex life and the romance has died completely. He’s not a super romantic guy, but that’s something very important to me, we’ve discussed it many times before. I feel like he makes no effort to show me affection or show me off, and we hardly ever have sex anymore. (Though he’s always down for a BJ) He’s admitted he dreams/thinks about other girls often, especially when sex is lacking. I’ve gained weight, and I think that’s part of his withdrawal, but he won’t say anything. I’m also far less experienced than he is. But now the sex drive is back, and he’s more distant than ever. I’m desperate, and feel neglected and exhausted from asking for affection. Am I asking too much?
