For anyone who lives with their partner but don’t share money yet, if one of you earns considerably more, do you still split expenses 50/50?

Depends. If you got an affordable apartment, so the one who makes less can contribute fairly, then 50/50 is okay in that scenario.
But if you have an apartment that is ridiculously expensive, then I don't believe that 50/50 is fair.

We have never split it 50/50. My now husband has always had a bigger income. So he has always paid more.

Our income isn't that far apart and we still were doing equitable rather than equal. 65% of our income when into our joint account for savings and expenses. If you don't want to get a joint account yet, you will need to do pro rata calculations on all of your bills and expenses.

Our expenses has never been 50/50. It's always been affordability dependent. What we can can contribute while still having a bit of money for ourselves. At the moment our expenses are like 80/20 because I'm poor thanks to COVID.
