Cervix checks?

I have to start getting biweekly cervix checks starting December 19th since my daughter was early and I’m high risk. 
What is this like? Also what is it like if I have to let them do the stitch because that is freaking me out

It honestly depends on your doctor. I’ve heard some women hate them bc they’re painful but in my experience it’s more uncomfortable than painful. I have a gentle OB though

Don’t be scared of the stitch! It’s typically a quick procedure and it statistically helps most! 
You can’t get the stitch after 24 weeks so it’s good they are monitoring. They want to see a cervix length longer than 2.5cm. 
I had an emergency cerclage placed at 16w with my first baby. My cervix was only 1.7cm after the stitch and was under 1cm after 28 weeks. I held her in until 35 weeks. So so thankful for that cerclage.
Second baby I had a preventative cerclage placed at 14 weeks. It failed at 19 weeks and had to get a rescue cerclage. It was one of the most severe cases of incompetent cervix and failed cerclage they’ve seen. I had to get 3 extra stitches added to the original one. Those 4 stitches in my cervix, by some miracle, held my son in until 27 weeks. He’s doing great at 8 weeks old and still hanging out in the nicu! 
My children would not be alive without a cerclage! 
I had sooo many cervix checks (transvaginal ultrasounds) with both pregnancies.

Ok just saw your reply. I didn’t know if you meant dialation checks or scans.
The scans aren’t too bad! It’s uncomfortable obviously because it’s a probe up there, and some techs are more gentle than others. You may get light bleeding for a day after but nothing too bad. I’ve had to have them biweekly for a few months this time. Got my last one today.. woot lol

With my first kid, my cervix was way high up so it hurt a ton. With my 2nd kid, my cervix had already started lowering which made it so much less painful. It really depends.

My cervical checks were done through ultrasound with the probe so they can measure the length. It wasn't pain just a little uncomfortable.

I guess it depends on your OB! Mine is super gentle and I barely feel anything
