My doctor couldn’t even find it at 11 weeks

Thanks for the responses. I just turned 10 weeks and having a hard time finding the heart beat. I went to the doctor two weeks ago for a confirmation of pregnancy appointment and everything was good. I go back in a couple of days for a scan and NIPT test. I keep seeing YouTube videos of people finding the heart beat with a doppler at 8 weeks. It makes me nervous

I didn't bother trying until 20weeks.

My OB won't even attempt to hear it until 12 weeks. And even then she warns it can be hard to find so don't panic. Baby is still just small. I do get to see it at my 8 wk scans, but no doppler until 12 weeks minimum for her office. Even with my daughter at the ER at 19 weeks they told me not to panic if they couldn't find it. Usually they don't even try to but the triage nurse felt I'd feel better if he attempted and could find it. They also did an ultrasound just to show me she was actually moving and okay in there. So thankful to them for that. She was 7 yrs 2 months and miscarriage in the making and I was so stressed about everything. They never made me feel stupid or silly for rushing in in a panic. That said, don't panic if you can't find it. My OB actually highly recommends not using an at home dopper because it can cause more anxiety especially if you can't locate the heartbeat.

I found mine 8w exactly! But I’m (was 😅) very petite and also had a full bladder. It was veryyyy faint, but I still have the video of it!
