Bikini waxing

I've been getting bikini waxes for about a year now and over the last 6 or so months I've noticed an increase in razor/wax burn immediately after waxing and it takes forever to go away. I am also getting a lot of ingrown hairs. I do sugar waxing and the lady that waxes me says that should help but it doesn't... Does this happen to anyone else? Is she doing it wrong? Or is it just me? What do you all do for these situations? I would almost rather have the hair over the embarrassing bumps!
