A little worried

Okay, well I usually have my period up to 7 days or so (I'm kind of a heavy flow) and after wards I'll notice that I'm spotting a bit with brown/bright red discharge and not sure if there's something wrong with me.. Or is this normal.. It sort of ruins my boyfriends mood when we get in the mood because sometimes the condom has a little blood on it and I just got my period just last Sunday.. Should I get a check up and let the doctor know or is this normal, ahhhh help?!😅🙈😖
