Hey guys, last night my boyfriend of 3, almost 4 years mentioned that maybe we should take a break. We’ve been through so much together and I was devastated when I heard that. Over the last few years it’s always been just us, we never had friends. In the last year, he recently got in touch with 2 of his friends from middle school. I’m friends with them as well now, but all he ever wants to do is be with them. Anything I want to do, he invites them to. He never wants to have time for just us. Being just me and him for 3 years, it was a hard change, not being his top priority any more. Over the last few months I have been giving him a hard time. Mostly just giving little comments like “You would do it with me if they wanted to come” or “why does everything have to revolve around them”. Anyways, last night he told me it was too toxic and that we should take a break. After a lot of discussing I finally said, “I love you and I’m willing to work this out for you, do you love me and think this is something we can get past.” He said “I do love you, but I’m not in love anymore, you haven’t been making me happy.” After a bit more discussing we decided to stay together and I spent the night with him. He kept kissing my head and was telling me he loves me. What should I think/do about this.
