Has anybodys baby gone to the bathroom in the womb?

Just had my water broken and was told my baby went to the bathroom in her sac. And now they’re going to immediately give her to the respiratory doctor once she is born to check for meconium aspiration. I’m a nervous wreck now.

Has anyone else experienced this?? If so how was your baby??

I’ve had a nephew and a niece who both had “pooed” in the womb. They both got treated immediately afterward like your baby, but both were okay and had no issues otherwise. They went home within the 2 day period as well. Wishing you the best and congrats ❤️

My son did when I gave birth to him. He didn’t cry right away. He had to spend 3 days in the nicu but then came home with us. He’s 3 1/2 now and perfectly fine!

Happened with my daughter. She didn't cry right away but was ultimately fine and didn't need to spend any time in the nicu

Yes my first born did poo in my womb they had to start induction process asap because the first poo is highly toxic for baby to eat or inhale

My brother did! My mom said he was on oxygen for a little bit but was totally fine after! Healthy almost 10 lb baby! 😊 she was also 40+ weeks..c section.

My niece did. She ended up intubated and in the nicu for 24 hours but then was okay and was discharged 2 days later

Correction ask my fat fingers hit the wrong number and I didn’t check. She was discharged 3 days later so she spent a total of 4 days in the hospital as a newborn

My son pooped inside me while I was giving birth, they checked him after to make sure he didn’t inhale anything and what not but he was fine and we went home on time
