Hey everyone. It’s my first time posting in here. I started my period 4 days ago and I have been in crippling pain since. I tried going to the hospital but both of the hospital closest to me had 4 hour wait times, so I went to urgent care and they ruled out a uti for me. I had to take 1600 mg of advil in the span of 24 hours and I was still in so much pain. I have abdominal and pelvic pain but it was excruciating the first day of my cycle. I set up an appointment with a new doctor and saw him yesterday, he suspects endo as well, but wants to confirm with ultrasound so I am going to schedule that asap. He wants me to start on Nikki right away though and I’ve been reading a lot of negative reviews for it and I haven’t seen anything that tells me it’s used to treat endometriosis? I’m in a lot of pain and I’m nervous to start a new birth control and haven’t established a lot of trust yet with my new doctor. Has anyone had success treating their endometriosis with birth control? Which one did you use? And if you’ve used Nikki before what was the experience like? Any advice is appreciated.
