I think it's a nice gesture from the father, not necessarily because you pushed a baby out but the 9 months of pregnancy you went through too. I see nothing wrong with hubby getting you a gift, it's a big moment in any mother's life it should be celebrated.

No push presents but after each delivery I ask for a meal I’ve been craving. Either a family member will buy the meal or my husband will go get.
