Do you ever mishear your/someone you know’s name in daily conversation?

Recently been thinking about this with my son’s name, Ivan- sometimes when someone starts a sentence with “I’ve been thinking…” (or something similar) I’ll mishear his name.

My brother went by the nickname Matt, and I remember being little and hearing the word “math” and thinking people were saying his name

Similar with my name, it’s sometimes tricky when people just ask “When?” and I haven’t been paying attention or happen to pass by another conversation. (My name is Gwen)

If my random ramblings make sense, 😅 I’d love to hear other peoples experiences like this, either for themselves or things they didn’t think of until after their child was born and they started using the name over time.
