Nervous about birth
I’m almost 14 weeks and I know that I have roughly 6 months BUT I’m actually really nervous. This is not my first baby and I get prodromal labor. My labors are fast and baby arrives within 4 hours after my labor stops being stupid cos of prodromal labor. I can have contractions 60 long and 90 apart for an hour just to have them stop like a switch had been flicked. My last baby I had prodromal labor for 3 weeks every day from 4-6 times a day to 3 days long and I was 7cm for a week and a half before my son decided to come earth side. What I’m nervous about is I have this feeling that I’m gonna have baby at home or in the car, like it’s an 85% chance of one of the two. My hospital is an hour away and that’s on a good day and if if the weather is shotty (where I live we have monsoon season- huge rain storms and thunderstorms and they start mid June) I’m looking close to an hour and a half drive. All this is starting to rub me the wrong way. I just wish I could have another home birth with a midwife but I’m not sure if that’s possible this time. Honestly I just don’t know what to do. My fiancé feels the same way too. He’s kinda hush shush with feelings and emotions but we’ve talked about it briefly and he feels the same way.
Secondly since the hospital is so far away we can’t go every single time I have contractions just to have them stop and be told to go home. That is not practical at all.
