How do you celebrate or say goodbye to the year with your loved ones/family

Before I had my own baby family, I used to go to a place of worship feom 11pm, and think of God, say His name, seek forgiveness, compassion, love, happiness, and eventually the last few minutes of the year would be spent with everyone chanting His name, welcoming the New Year with His name on our tongues.

So, what do you do to make it special or mark the end of a year and seek a joyous and special upcoming year? I have a new baby and family, and I’m having a wonder as to what our celebrations should entail (as of now, I have no friends and no other family).

Also intrigued by Christmas traditions/celebrations.
