I'm trying to decide if I should drive an hour and 15 minutes to have a private ultrasound done at 7 weeks 5 days. I basically wanted to have some self reassurance that baby was measuring good and had a strong heartbeat before I go out of town on vacation. My regular OB appointment is January 4 (like 2 weeks).

I know still m** can happen even if baby has a strong heartbeat. I just don't want to waste my time and money if it's not necessary. Thanks!
