Coming off contraception

Naomi

Hello, I’ve come off the implant because it ruined my mental health, acne and I gained weight. I’ve just started seeing someone and we have had sex on occasion. I’ve decided to not take the combination pill for now to get my hormones back to a normal level. Previously I’ve taken the morning after pill after we had sex for peace of mind however, I’ve heard you can track when and when you can’t get pregnant via your cycle… how accurate is this? I do not want to get pregnant for a while I am focused on working well in my career and hopefully marriage etc prior.

I’m 28, 29 in February so I know my eggs etc is depleting anyway but do you have advice on this? Woman to woman what would you suggest?

When the implant was taken out they provided me with the combination pill so I can start it, but I’m worried about the side effects of it.

Only once I’ve used the morning after pill.. I’m asking if I’m tracking my fertility window well and do I need to take one tomorrow to be sure.

The condom we’ve tried but it did not work for us on many levels. And coils etc did not work for me previously.

Ideally I would like to be hormone free but as the relationship is growing I fear I cannot because I’ll always be worrying if I’ll get pregnant etc.

Side note, why do we put our bodies through so much? Unfair for women! 🙄
