Herpes

So about two weeks ago I noticed that I was hurting quite badly around my vagina. I instantly just thought that my boyfriend may have torn my a little and didn’t really think much after that. Well as the days went by I noticed more and more of the little blister like bumps popping up around my vagina and anus. It honestly scared the shit outta me. So like any normal person I went to google and started to research a bit and try to self diagnose. I ended up finding two things that looked like what I have, herpes or contact dermatitis. Well this past Tuesday i finally decided to call up my gyno and make a appointment asap. This afternoon(Thursday, December 29, 2022) I went in and my gyno told me that she’s is gonna swab and take a urine sample to see whether or not I have it. I don’t get my results back until Monday, but she did say she’s pretty sure that I have it and has given my oral medication to take. Although, I know that if I do test positive for it, it doesn’t mean I’m nasty or a whore, etc. But I can’t help feel a bit shameful for getting it. (Even though I’ve only slept with one person) it still makes me feel like I did something wrong. 😔 I haven’t told anyone what’s going on except for my boyfriend and sister-in-law, and I feel like if I do try and talk about it to others, they are going to judge me and shame me.
