We’ve had our name (Heidi) picked out for years, but loads of people told us to keep it to ourselves because “everyone will have an opinion.” So we haven’t told anyone the name, but we’ve bought a few personalized and monogrammed items for her nursery.

My dad just got a new dog yesterday, and they named it Heidi. I want to keep the name. My husband wants to change it. We only see my dad maybe once a year, and I figure our kid is going to be around a lot longer than this dog, but my husband thinks it’s weird.

I’m due in 2 days and we have no backup names.
