Did your feet get held when pushing? NOT practice pushes?

I was so confused my first time around because all of the labor/birth videos I watched the nurse, SO, or someone else in the room would hold the moms legs/feet! Like 16 and pregnant, teen mom, any sort of scripted movie. So I was surprised when they told me for practice pushes a nurse and my SO(they wouldn’t allow my mom on the other leg Only a nurse.) will hold my leg but real pushing it’s all on me?! Who else?

The nurse and my husband held my legs, but tbh I hated being in that position, I really wish they would’ve let me pick what position I wanted to push in

I had a nurse holding one leg and my support person holding my other leg. If you get an epidural you won’t be able to feel your legs, let alone lift them lol

I had my husband at the time holding one leg and his mom holding the other. A nurse on each side holding feet/ankles to keep steady and thr delivery doctor there to catch the baby. There weren't any practice pushes, I've never heard of that?

First baby my hubby held one and nurse the other, second baby nurses held both- hospital was much larger second time so there was a bunch of nurses in the room that day.

I’m pretty sure I held my own legs. They may have helped.. I had an epidural so I couldn’t feel them & I don’t really remember because I was only focused on one thing

I think it depends on if you have an epidural. With my first I couldn't really move my legs or hold them up on my own, a nurse held one and my husband held the other. With our second I went all natural and although I could hold my legs, the nurse still held one because I was exhausted.

I had an epidural both times so I was numb (only numb in my legs with my second) so my legs were supported by a nurse and my husband.

i had an epidural but by the time i was pushing it was wearing off so i could move my legs some but definitely not enough to hold them up that long so a nurse held one and my fiancé held the other
