Did anyone go into sponataneous labor when they were only 1 cm?

Im 39 weeks and still at 1 cm. I get Braxton hicks every night but I guess that’s not doing anything. Is it still possible to go into labor on my own? My doctor scheduled an induction for Sunday if I don’t.

I was half a cm at 40 weeks 2 days! Went into labour the next evening! Baby born 17 hours later!!

You have no need for an induction so early. Personally if I were you I’d cancel the induction. Full term is 39-41 weeks per ACOG. There’s no need to induce just because you get close to exactly 40 weeks.

Not technically spontaneous- but I had a membrane sweep at 38w5days , 1.5 cm dilated , was in labor that night.

How dilated you are really has nothing to do with when you’ll go into labor. People can sit at 2-3cm for a few weeks. I was 1cm with my daughter & gave birth a few days later. With my son, I was 0cm & went into labor within a few days.

Went into labor on my own around 38wks5days. I labored for 24 hours before getting to 4cm… That was with my first baby. With my second I went into labor at 39 weeks and got to 4cm in 1.5 hrs…

Yep. Went into labor on my own. Labored at home for about 4-6 hour, went to the hospital and I was still 0 cm dilated. I didn’t dilate at all on my own even with contractions coming every 3-4 mins lasting 1-2 mins. I had to get a foley balloon to help me dilate.
