Should my 2 year old be opening doors?

Question

This feels like a dumb question so please don't judge.  I'm a FTM of a 2.5 year old who has hit all the milestones, but she can't turn doorknobs to open doors.  I've never tried to teach her this because I am not eager for her to know how to do it, but I just realized maybe I'm making a mistake and I should be teaching her.  Is this something you typically teach your kid to do, or just let them figure out on their own?
(The fact that I couldn't find the answer online makes me think this is a really dumb question so please be nice!  Thank you!)

She'll eventually learn but I definitely would stick with the not teaching her! I was so sad the day I found out my daughter could turn a door knob haha

My oldest never really went into things or tried to open doors etc. She respected the boundaries we have. She would always be busy with something else so she never had the need to go into other things. Luckily!
She'll learn eventually. My daughter started opening doors when she was 3 😊

Our daughter is almost 2.5 and opens doors. We never explicitly taught her how to do it. She just sort of watched and figured it out. It’s nice but also obnoxious because she was coming out of her room 10 times in 30 min (no joke) instead of going to bed. She has a child proof on her side of the door now and is attempting to get out as I type this (No, she doesn’t need anything. She just doesn’t want to go to bed.)

We have levers on all our doors and my 3 year old has been opening doors since he was one, but I don’t think he can work a twist knob.

Our 2,5yo has got opening doors down. He is close to figuring out our baby gates, which are confusing everyone as they are rather complicated. He'll figure it out by himself some time.
But then again he doesn't have the skill down to pull his pants down or back up. So I guess it's all very personal. Every kid is different and it's really hard, almost impossible to compare that

My daughter didn't start opening doors until about 3. We put cabinet locks on any cabinet/drawers she can reach in the kitchen and bathrooms. And then we bought the doorknob plastic cover things that keep them from being able to open doors. Until we got tired of having to open the bathroom door for her (we also have a 1 yr old) so we took the one off the bathroom door. She's about to be 5 now so she can definitely take herself to the bathroom at home. We'll probably put it back on in a few years when the boy learns to open doors 😅 by then we'll teach her how to open doors with them on.
