Am I 4 months or 5?

I’m 18 weeks and when I google what month I’m in , it says the 5th month but I’m not sure if that’s correct

Weeks 1-4 would be month 1. Weeks 5-8 would be month 2. Weeks 9-12 would be month 3. Weeks 13-16 would be month 4. And weeks 17-20 would be month 5. We’re “technically” pregnant for 10 months because of the way we count the first 4 weeks.
You can also look at it like on Tuesday I was 5 weeks pregnant. So from Wednesday I’m technically in my 6th week. Even though I’m not “6 weeks” until the following Tuesday.

Months and weeks won’t always line up exactly so the easiest way is to count back from your due date. Eg if you’re due May 5, then on April 5 you’d be 8 months, on March 5 you’d be 7 months, etc

Just use the calendar the same as you’re calculating your weeks. As an example, if your LMP was 8/24:
1 mo: 9/24
2 mo: 10/24
3 mo: 11/24
4 mo: 12/24
Etc.
Time doesn’t pass differently just bc you’re pregnant.
